what do you do in your spare time? you can spend it by learning english. even if you do it without friend, you can put pleasure in your learning process. prepare your dictionary. read and apply the following tips.

1. watch english language movies
play that movie without subtitle. cartoon or animation movie is advisable to train your listening skill. you can also watch other kind of movie with english subtitle. you can read the subtitle and how the stars pronounce it.

2. listen english songs

when you listen to the english song, it is important to get the lyrics. if the CD or cassette does not provide the lyrics. you can search it via 'search engine' in google or yahoo. try to get the meaning of lyric and learn to sing the song.

3. read your favorite books
if reading is your hobby, it's a good news. get your favorite books which are written in english. they can be fiction or non fiction. consult a dictionary if you find the difficult word. you can write the word on a piece of paper and try to memorize the meaning. you can also get your favorite readers by surfing via internet.

4. chat
you can get friends from foreign countries and start to interact with them via internet. visit chat forum and start to chat in english.

5. learn to be a writer
you can start to write article, short story, and poem in english and post them at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
'the web editor' will check your grammar and decide whether your writing can be posted.

apa yg kmu lakuin d wktu luang? kmu dpt ngegunainna tuk blajar bhs inggris. bahkan, jika kmu ngelakuinna tnpa teman, kmu dpt 'ngebkin enak' dlm proses blajarmuw. prsiapkn kamus-muw. baca n lakuin bbrapa tips brikut ni.

1. tonton film2 brbahasa inggris (dgn dsertai text bhs inggris)
puter ntu film tnpa text. film kartun ato animasi amat baex tuk ngelatih kmampuan pndengaranmuw. kmu jg dpt nonton jnis film laen dgn text brbhasa inggris. kmu dpt ngebca ntu text n liat gmn ntu para pemain ngucapinna.

2. ngedngerin lagu2 yg brbhsa inggris
saat kmu gi ngedengerin lagu brbhs inggris, amatlah pnting tuk tw ato sertai dgn lirikna skalean. jika CD ato kasetna gak nyertain ntu lirikna. kmu dpt ngecarina lwat 'mesin pencari' smacem google ato yahoo. coba tuk dpetin arti dr lirik tsb n blajarlah tuk nyanyi'in ntu lagu.

3. baca buku2 favemuw
cari n baca buku2 favemuw yg isi tulisanna make bhs inggris. bs brupa fiksi ato non-fiksi. cari d kamus jika kmu nemuin kata2 yg gak kmu ngerti. kmu dpt nulis ntu kata2 (yg gak kmu ngerti td) k scarik kertas n cobalah tuk nginget artina. kmu jg bs ngedptin bacaan2 favemuw lwat internet.

4. chat
kmu bs ngecari n dpt tmn2 dr brbagai negara n mulailah tuk brinteraksi dgn mreka lwat internet. kunjungi forum chatting n mulailah tuk chatting dgn ngegunain bhs inggris.

5. blajar tuk jd pnulis
kmu bs mulai dgn nulis artikel, cerita pendek, n sajak dlm bhs inggris n post-kn ntu karya tulismuw d [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
'web editor' akan ngecheck tata bahasamuw n ngemutusin apakah karya tulismuw ntu layak tuk d post-kn ato gak.

yupz....those tips are really have effect to most of people.... don't afraid of grammar...english spoken is easier than english written.

to be honest i'm not good at speaking english.. kalo writting si lumayan.. pengen banget bisa lancar ngomong english. dulu waktu masih SMA banyak banget kesempatan buat latian speaking english di scol. tapi setelah lulus n bgaul sama orang2 "local", gw gag pernah dialog pake english, tiap hari pake bahasa daerah.. gw pake english cuman kalo lagi chat sama bule duank itu pun lewat tulisan.. hwehek.. tapi gw pernah skali ditelp bule tmen chat, dan itu berkesan banget..
makasi tips nya dek *grins*
bner banget loh, minimal vocab kita akan nambah stelah mraktekin tips di atas..

hehe... ku jg prnah sich hadep2an malah wktu d PT-ku kdatengan tamu dr luar, gak dsangka sangka ntu bule nyelonong masuk k ruang krjaku, nanya ini itu...
wew... ya tw dah kyak pa (kringat dingin pd kluar...) *capede*
hehe... untungna jg ntu bule ngerti ma bhasaku... :lol!:
phew... pngalaman paling 'melelahkn' + 'bkin tegang' yg prnah ku alamin, yg k dua sich prnah ngebantu bule pakistan (tetangga dorm sbelah) ngebetulin + nyetting antena n ngecari'in channel tv-na skalean (yg ni agak enak, coz bulena ngumungna pelan bgtz... hehe... :P )

(pngen bgtz sich les ato pa gtu biar gape *grins* scara gak prnah skalepun sich ikut2 gtuan *udud* )

btw, ada yg prnah punya pngalaman yg lbh 'bkin tegang' ngubrul ma bule laenna gak ni ?!

yang berkesan tuh waktu ma dosen disuruh hunting bule bwt di wawancara,, dapat tuh bule guanteng bgt di keraton,, alhasil aq dijadiin emandu,, pdhl aku gak tau2 bgt tenteng sejarah keraton...mana dia bule jerman,,yg bhs inggris na aksen na aneh...
dosenku sendiri ada yg bule seh... tapi dy dah bisa indo jd asik...
